I'm not quite sure what the deal is, with a number of large public buildings of late making extensive use of triangles. NAB HQ by Woods Bagot [link] and SAMHRI by Woods Bagot [link]. Maybe BHP Billiton was doing a two for one deal on the cladding? Either way, Pythagoras would have approved.  

 

The Perth Arena [link] was designed by ARM Architecture [link] in association with Cameron Chisholm Nicol [link] located in the Perth CBD and completed in 2013.
