ARM Architecture with Cameron Chisholm Nicol, Perth Arena, Perth, Western Australia

Kind of like Optimus Prime caught mid-transformation

or a more geometric expression of ARM's green blob at RMIT [link]

I'm not quite sure what the deal is, with a number of large public buildings of late making extensive use of triangles. NAB HQ by Woods Bagot [link] and SAMHRI by Woods Bagot [link]. Maybe BHP Billiton was doing a two for one deal on the cladding? Either way, Pythagoras would have approved.

The Perth Arena [link] was designed by ARM Architecture [link] in association with Cameron Chisholm Nicol [link] located in the Perth CBD and completed in 2013.

Aurecon with Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects, Adelaide Riverbank Pedestrian Briddge, Adelaide, South Australia

In a nutshell.........

Caught somewhere between Tron

and

Tron: Legacy

if only if the lighting at night-time lived up to the hype of the latter.

I strongly recommend one bust out some Daft punk Derezzed style the next time you walk across it you'll never look at architecture the same.

The Adelaide Riverbank Pedestrian Bridge was designed by Aurecon [link] and Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects [link], located on the Torrens river in Adelaide, South Australia. pedestrians first hit the metaphorical boardwalks in March 2014.
